I have plans to go on a major bucket list hike, but I’m new. I know it’s going to be a hard hike, but I want to do this! I need to start training now, I just don’t know how to.
I’m coming back after an injury and can’t wait to get back into hiking, I just don’t know how to get back in shape without hurting myself again.
I feel breathless when going up a steep incline and this year I want to get stronger, so my heart doesn’t feel like it’s going to burst from my chest. This way I can enjoy the harder hikes and focus on the views instead of how hard the trail is.

Over the next 6 months, you’ll get a new set of workouts every week! You’ll also get videos so you can follow along as I show you how to do the workout and maximize it every time with correct form. Correct form is so important to preventing injuries.
The program is specifically designed to help strengthen your body specifically for hiking and reduce the risk of common hiking injuries like developing knee pain.
"My husband and I love the mountains and can’t wait to explore more and for greater lengths of time. This summer we have a big trip planned to go overnight hiking through Glacier for several days. We have not done anything like this before, or at least I haven’t. We try to eat healthily but exercise hasn’t always been the most consistent due to LIFE! However, we know our bodies need to be better conditioned to accomplish our adventure goals and bucket list of trips. This training program came along at the PERFECT time for me to achieve this. I have been trying to work out but always need help with direction and knowing WHAT to do. I can get on an elliptical but need help on the rest. So far I am LOVING this program. 3 days a week is perfect and doable. I appreciate the gradual increase of difficulty to allow my body to build up endurance. I have a shoulder injury I’m dealing with, but modify when I need to and keep going. "I signed up for the Training For the Peaks program on an impulse after receiving Jenny's 4 week Training Plan for Beginners and liked what I saw. I had been very inconsistent with my training after a 3 year period of minimal activity. I would start training too hard and fast and then become frustrated and slack off. After a gorgeous 6 day backpacking trip that was totally miserable due to me being so out of shape, I knew I needed something new to try. Jenny's program was just what I needed to help me get back on track. It has really helped me to start at a slower pace and do exercises I've never done or focused on before. Which made them actually fun and challenging. I already feel much stronger with more focus on core exercises and my endurance is quickly improving with more regularly scheduled cardio.
